Sree Suprabhatha Sabha was founded in the year 1969 with the noble aim of inculcating general and spiritual discipline among children by conducting free Sloka classes every day. The brain behind this was Poondi Srinivasa Iyengar who was ably supported by the local residents including S.V. Ranga, T.K.Ramarathnam, P.V.Raman, R.Veeraraghavan, and Mr.V.M.Ramanujam, to mention a few.​
 

The main focus of Sabha, as it is generally called, is to develop the character of a child culturally, religiously, and spiritually.
 

Sabha conducts free Sloka Classes every day in the evening.​
 

The Sabha children have been trained by Sri U.Ve.Srinivasa Thathachariar for 25 years and later by Sri U.Ve.Thayyar Srinivasachariar for 20 years after whom Sri U.Ve. Chakrvarathi Iyengar has taken up the task at present, along with Sri G.L.Balaji, Sabha's old student.​
 

Apart from devotional activities, Sabha engages itself every month by conducting camps like blood donation, eye checking, etc.
 

To bring out the special talents of our Students as well as their parents, Sabha also conducts Cookery competitions, Rangoli, Arts and Crafts, etc..​​
 

The Sabha has been growing with additional activities every now and then through conducting Open Group Bhajan, Music, Quiz , Oratorical , Sloka , Sloka Anthyakshari & Gita Chanting competitions for the School children for past many years.​
 

Sabha cherishes every moment and especially on the days of functions like Sarswathi Pooja, Vijaya Dashami, Deepavali, Pongal, Tamil New Year. Sabha celebrates these functions along with the children educating them on the importance of these festivals.​
 

Most importantly, Sabha celebrates it's Vaarshika Mahotsavam (annual festival) with a grand Vishnu Sahasranaama Lakshaarchanai on the first Sunday of September. It is celebrated as a four-day festival, where the first three days engage with performances like music, shloka antyaakshari, recitation, upanyaasam, and prize distributions. The fourth day has the Lakshaarchanai as the main event and in the evening, dignitaries are invited to complete the festival with Annual Report and Prize distributions.​
 

Sabha is always thankful to all the students, their parents, Sabha's old students, it's well-wishers, donors, devotees, and all the volunteers. Sabha is a unit consisting of all these like-minded people, under one motto - "Develop oneself culturally, devotionally, and spiritually"; and under one belief - "GOD".
