ONLINE BHAGAVAD GĪTĀ RECITATION COMPETITION 2024
General Instructions for the participants

The Online Bhagavad Gītā competition will be held on 29th December 2024, at 09:00 AM.

Participants will have to learn completely Chapters 10, 11 and 12.

Participants are divided into two categories - Students and Non-students. All those still pursuing education from school or college come under the category of Students and should upload their school/college ID card during the registration. Others come under the Non-student category.

Since the registration is based on first come basis, the participants are requested to register as soon as possible to avoid missing out on participation.

Participants will be divided into groups of 15 each. Each group will be awarded prizes as follows:

1st Prize - 1000/-
-
2nd Prize - 750/-
-
3rd Prize - 400/-
-
2 Consolation prizes - 150/- each

Every participant will be given an e-certificate.
-
A Whatsapp group will be created for each of the Groups to coordinate with the participants.
-
All communications will be entertained through the Whatsapp groups.
-
Each student will be allotted a time between 09:00 AM and 01:00 PM, 30 minutes in advance to avoid last minute confusion. Participants should be ready by that time.

The platform, group and time slots for each of the participants will be communicated via the Whatsapp groups one week prior to the competition.
Rules during the competition
-
The participants are asked to make sure to have a proper device (laptop with webcam recommended), with good internet access. Headphone / Earphone with mic is mandatory. Using the laptop's audio should be strictly avoided.

All the participants should be thorough with all the three prescribed chapters (10 to 12).

All the participants have to recite as required by the judges instantaneously.
All the participants must be present in their respective traditional dress..

The participants’ audio and video should be switched on throughout the recitation. Switching off and switching on video/audio during the recitation should be strictly avoided unless suggested by volunteers.

The Participants are asked to recite from a separate room in their place, without any background noise.

The participants should join only during the allotted time slot.

The participants will be put under an online waiting room until the previous participants complete their recitation.

The participants may contact the coordinator in the Whatsapp group for any issue.

We expect the participants to respond via Whatsapp, or call. If a participant does not respond during the competition, we will wait for 30 minutes after which the participant will be eliminated.

Once allowed in, the participants should not leave the session until the recitation is complete.

There will be a coordinator in the session who will assist the participants in case of any issue during the recitation.

If there is any network issue, or if the judges feel that the voice of the participant is not clear enough, the participant will get another chance after 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the participant has to make sure that the network issue gets resolved before recitation. In any circumstance, the participant will be allowed two chances only.

The participants will be monitored continuously during the recitation.

Once completed, the participant will be removed from the session to let in the next participant.

In any case, if a participant would not attend the competition, he/she should inform us well in advance.

Results will be announced group-wise in our website ‘www.sssabha.org’ on the same day by 05:00 PM.

The judges’ decision will be final.
